COVID-19 Safety Measures for the 2021 In-Person Festival
We look forward to holding our 4th annual Original Thinkers festival in-person September 30th to October 3rd in Telluride, Colorado. We are thankful that 90% of San Miguel County is vaccinated, but we are still closely monitoring all local, state and national public health guidelines. Safety is paramount to us. In order to protect and mitigate the risk of exposure to COVID-19 and the Delta variant for our guests, attendees, staff and the local community we are putting into place the following protocols.
Proof of Vaccination/Negative test
We will require proof of vaccination for all guests, audience members and staff. Additionally, we will be asking everyone to provide a negative test upon check-in with the festival. Rapid testing will be available on site.
Masks
Depending on local, state and national guidelines we may be requiring masks in our indoor venues.
Venues
The majority of our programs will be held at the historic Sheridan Opera House, which has purchased 13 molecule air purifiers, all which are placed throughout the building to purify the air, and has fresh air fans open in the ceiling circulating air. We have also reserved the Transfer Warehouse, a terrific outdoor venue with four walls and no roof, making it an ideal open-air space to gather if being indoors is problematic come festival time. There will be plenty of hand-sanitizer available.
Passes
We have cut back on how many in-person passes are available in order to create social distancing in the Opera House and Transfer Warehouse. Since we are reducing capacity, we encourage you to purchase your passes now before we sell out.
We appreciate your support and understanding as we navigate this challenging time. We look forward to seeing you (safely) this fall.
